OCVFC's Skip Carey Elected MSFA 2nd VP

Tuesday, June 21, 2022

Skip was instrumental in the training of our members and cadets for many years.  He was one of the most active members, outperforming others half his age.  He began his service as a volunteer in the Salisbury Fire Department in 1966.  He worked his way through the ranks, ultimately retiring as an assistant chief.  He was also a career Firefighter/Paramedic with the Ocean Pines Fire Department.  Skip also spent many years as an instructor for the Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute.  We are monumentally proud to have Skip among our ranks and especially proud to have another member serving the MSFA administration.  He has done and will continue to do great things for the volunteers of the Great State of Maryland.  CONGRATULATIONS Vice President Carey!
