Tonight the men and women of the Ocean City Fire Department are honoring the memory of Sgt. Charles “Chip” Green. Sgt. Green would always lookout for us atop his patrol horse on many calls and public safety details. Historically, firehouse towers were lookouts for spotting fires. So it’s only appropriate that we honor him by illuminating our lookout tower blue.
