Jennifer and Tony LeCompte, owners of Lecompte Monument, of Laurel, Delaware, agreed to take on the task of touching up the Fire Fighter Memorial, at North Division St and the Boardwalk. 12 years of hurricanes and Nor Easter's have sand blasted the one side of our beautiful memorial, wearing down the inlay and the lower stone facing on the one side. The restoration work is all being done by hand, from painting, scraping and wiping down any over painted area, one letter at a time. The Memorial was first dedicated on September 11th, 2006. The project is being overseen by the fire department Chaplain, Kevin Knowles.
