At 13:58 hours Ocean City Fire units were dispatched to 48th street and Coastal Hwy for an MVC with entrapment. Upon arrival of Chief 751 it was reported to incoming units that a single vehicle was overturned in the middle of the N/B lanes of coastal after striking an open manhole. Units worked to rescue one victim that was still in the vehicle. Upon stabilization of the vehicle the PT was removed and transported via ground to the hospital.
