The Ocean City Fire Department was excited to welcome the 119th Annual Maryland State Firemen’s Association to Ocean City. There were many events planned during the week for firefighters, EMS and rescue personnel. The opening ceremony took place on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. in the Convention Center Main Ball Room. Officers and members of the Ocean City Fire Department look forward to having the convention in Ocean City. “When members of the public safety community gather in Ocean City, it brings about networking opportunities, training, and the opportunity to share the latest developments in fire service apparatus and equipment,” said Public Information Officer Ryan Whittington.
