A strong rip tide pulled two children out to sea 15 minutes after Beach Patrol went off duty.  The father of the children entered the water in an attempt to rescue them.  The Parasail Boat rescued the children safely from the sea.  Coast Guard  members pulled the unconscious father onboard their vessel and performed CPR immediately.  OC Emergency Personnel transported the father to AGH where attempts to revive him failed.  OC units transported family members to the hospital where a chaplain and debriefing team were staged.
