John Fisher joined the Department in May of 1993.  He has served as a Lieutenant (1994 to 1996) and was promoted to Captain in May of 1996.  He continues to serve as the Captain of A Platoon today.  

John began his career in the fire service in August of 1964.  He volunteered with Mt. Rainier Volunteer Fire Department, Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department, and Cottage City Volunteer Fire Department.  John worked as an Instructor for the Maryland Fire Rescue Institute as well as a Master Firefighter and HazMat Team Shift Leader with Montgomery County Fire.
