Ocean City Assists Ocean Pines w/ Structure Fire

On Tuesday 21 February 2023 at a few minutes after 18:00 Hours, Ocean City units were dispatched to assist the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department (OPVFD) with a residential structure fire with possible entrapment in the 100 Block of Seafarer Lane in North Ocean Pines.
 
Upon arrival of initial OPVFD units, crews experienced significant fire conditions throughout the home. After deteriorating conditions improved, fire crews ultimately brought the fire under control and located an adult male victim inside. The victim unfortunately succumbed to his injuries as a result of the fire. Three firefighters were also injured battling the fire but only one required transport to a local hospital for a hand injury.
