Today the City Council affirmed the appointment of Richard Bowers as the second Ocean City Fire Department Fire Chief, and he was immediately sworn in by Mayor Meehan. Join me in congratulating and welcoming Chief Bowers to his new position as Fire Chief. Shortly after the council meeting Chief Bowers said he was excited to meet the members and their families. I look forward to working with our new Fire Chief, I know that you extend the same enthusiasm and support.
