MVC w/ Multiple Patients on Rte. 90 Bridge

Ocean City Fire Department and Ocean City Police Department were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Collision on the Eastbound Span of the RT 90 bridge on October 24, 2018 around 8:30 am. Paramedic 3 arrived on scene to find a 4-vehicle Motor Vehicle Collision with multiple patients. Captain C. Braniff (755) arrived shortly thereafter and established command. Ocean City Fire Department crews provided initial evaluation and triage of patients on the accident scene. Crews performed patient care and Ocean City EMS units transported three patients to area hospitals. Ocean Pines EMS also transported one patient. Crews removed hazards from the road way and contained a fluid spill from one of the vehicles. Multiple units back filled Ocean City during the incident to help provide additional transport units or to standby for other potential emergencies. East & West Bound traffic was shut down on Route 90 for approximately 45 minutes while crews operated.
