Ocean City Fire Department responds to an MVA - 28th Street and Baltimore Ave.

Friday, October 30, 2015
On Sunday evening around 10:30 PM OCFD was alerted to a possible electric hazard stemming from an MVA into a tree. Upon arrival an Ocean City firefighter discovered exposed wires from a light pole that was taken out by the vehicle. OCPD shut down Baltimore Ave. southbound from 29th street to 28th for the period of time while OC Public Works responded to fix the hazard. The vehicle was later towed and the light pole was replaced. The building was spared by a few feet. The patient was checked out by EMS at request of OCPD; however, the patient refused treatment and was turned over to police. Engine 3 cleared the scene and turned over the investigation to OCPD.
