Mike Todd
Assistant Chief Michael Todd has dedicated himself to serving the Ocean City community through both emergency services and education. As Assistant Chief at Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company, he manages administrative operations while maintaining an active role in emergency response. His leadership extends across multiple facets of the department and community outreach initiatives.
Michael's journey with the fire company began as a cadet in 2011, where he quickly distinguished himself by serving as both Cadet President and Cadet Lieutenant. After graduating to the fire company in the summer of 2015, he has held every operational rank, working his way up to Second Assistant Chief through dedication and proven leadership.
Beyond the fire house, Michael serves as a teacher with Worcester County Public Schools. He holds an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
A proud member of the Maryland Fire Chiefs Association, Michael balances his dual careers with family life in Ocean City, Maryland, where he lives with his wife Gionna and their young son. When he's not responding to calls or in the classroom, you'll find him camping with his Lance truck camper or fishing on the beach with friends.
Assistant Chief Todd exemplifies the volunteer spirit that makes Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company a cornerstone of our community - someone who shows up, puts in the work, and leads by example.
