James Carter joined the Ocean City Fire Department in May of 2017, serving the community as a firefighter and driver/operator on C Platoon.

Jimmy started his career in 1981 as a volunteer firefighter with Kensington Fire Department, in Maryland.  He is still with the department and is currently a Life Member.  Jimmy is also a retired DCFD firefighter.  He was hired in February of 1989 and retired with 28 years of service in July of 2017.
