Roger Steger Sr.

Roger A. Steger, Sr. joined the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company on February 5, 1968 as a Cadet.  He joined the ranks of Active Firefighter on January 25, 1972.   During his time with the Department, Roger served as the Assistant Fire Chief for 7 years and as the Fire Chief for 18 years.  He currently serves the department as a Driver/Operator and Fire Police.  

 

In addition to being an active firefighter in Ocean City, Roger serves his community at the County and State levels.  Roger is a proud member of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association, Maryland Fire Chiefs Association, and the Worcester County Volunteer Firemen's Association.  He has served the following roles within each organization:
