Donald Fisher

Donald Ross Fisher Sr., 81, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at his home. Born in Ocean City, he was a son of the late Everett J. Fisher and Carrie Phillips Fisher. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Calvina Wainwright Fisher; his children, Cindy Twilley and her husband, Edward, of Salisbury, Martha "Marty" Hall and her husband, Bill, of Fenwick Island and Donald R. Fisher Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, of Berlin; eight grandchildren, Will Hall IV, Corey Hall, Russell Hall, Carrie Hall, Stephanie Fisher, Hannah Fisher, Courtney Fisher and Donald Ross Fisher III; a sister, Alice Workman; and a nephew, Phillip Simpson of Berlin.

Mr. Fisher had worked in the family popcorn business in Ocean City since 1937. He was a 60 year member and past fire chief of the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Department. He was a past master of Evergreen Masonic Lodge 153 AF& AM, Boumi Temple Shrine and Scottish Rite. He was a member of Atlantic United Methodist Church and had served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Bank of Ocean City from 1994-2005.
