Training at Headquarters

On Monday morning, the Duty Crew staffing Headquarters took advantage of the sunny weather and practiced different hose deployment techniques for the 200' crosslay on Engine 1. The crew simulated a fire call by laying out from the hydrant and pulling the hoseline through various obstacles, such as cars and fences. The crew mentioned they wanted the training to be as realistic as possible. The training was also a great opportunity for the firefighters to flow water and the driver to get more experience pumping the engine.
