Accident on Rt. 50

Early Sunday morning, the OCFD was alerted for a head-on collision on the Rt. 50 Bridge. As a result of the accident, 2 dogs were temporarily displaced from their owners. The volunteer crew out of Station 5 offered to bring the pups back to the station and watch over them. When the dogs were reunited with their humans, the crew was able to pose for a quick photo with their new two and four-legged friends.
Commercial Vehicle Fire

Units were dispatched to a large commercial vehicle fire on the North end of Town. Units arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a solid waste truch. Upon further investigation, firefighters found a small fire underneath which was quickly contained.
